Happy hump day beautiful people! as stated last week and in keeping with my intentionality in being consistent, Wednesdays are all about natural body care inside and out.
I love a good facial and body scrub; with the exception of those with severe acne, or sensitive skin, scrubs can be a great weekly or daily regiment for facial/body care. I am going to share two of my favorite scrub recipes; one for the body and the other for the face. Enjoy!
For the body:
1/2 cup ground oatmeal
1/2 cup ground almond meal
1/2 teaspoon ground peppermint or rosemary
1cup Castile soap (many need a little more)
Mix all the ingredients in a bowl; the consistency should be thick, in the event the dry ingredients are overpowering, add a little more castile soap to create a paste-like consistency.
Add the finished product in a plastic jar. Best on a washcloth or loofah when bathing.
For the face:
1/2 cup ground oatmeal
1/4 cup finely ground chamomile
4 tablespoons oat milk
1/2 Castile soap (recommendation-Dr. Bronner's baby mild)
Mix all the ingredients, then pour into a plastic jar. When you're about to use, place on a damp cloth then gently exfoliate your face; you do not need a lot, it produces a strong later. FYI-I use this scrub daily, great makeup remover...
