Happy Friday beautiful people!! for many of us, our energies are all over the place and when you factor in the anxiety and stress surrounding COVID-19 you may be feeling the urge to explode like a Game of Thrones dragon.
It's the end of the week, let's take a few minutes to ground ourselves, connect to mother earth and bring that anxiety and stress down; we are going to channel the power of transformation for all things good as well as self-preserve ourselves.
ALRIGHT LET'S GO:
Begin in a seated position, spine tall (floor, let's stay away from couches or chairs, we want to stay as close to the ground as possible)
Your surroundings should be quiet; for those of you who can't function in silence, I suggest nature sounds or something that will accommodate your attempt at centering yourself (a friend of mine uses John Coltrane's music to set the tone for her).
Slowly raise both hands; try to make sure that the arms rise in sync. As you do this inhale then exhale
Breathe in deeply, filling your lungs as best as you can. On the exhale breath out leave nothing in.
Repeat 4 times
You breathe in, knowing that you are safe, fully aware of who you are: whole, deeply favored, and more importantly, blessed.
Breathe out, letting go of the worry, stress of the past, present, and future.
After (slowly) lowering your arms the 4th and last time, open your eyes remain seated for at least 2 minutes; then get up stand tall, deep inhale, deep exhale.
